Emilio Aguinaldo College – Dasmariñas – July 2019

B.S. Psychology students from Emilio Aguinaldo College-Dasmariñas campus spent a month at the village for their on-the-job training. The students rotated through the different cottages to help care for and feed the children. They also spent time at the Arantza Rehabilitation Center to observe and assist our physical therapists during treatment sessions.

Here’s the feedback we received from one of the students.

"Firstly, I want to say that I’m very blessed. During my OJT period, I've been impressed and astonished by the service, care, and responsibility of the caregivers for the special children. While working over CCV, I got complete happiness.

I followed the feeding schedules of CCV. During that time, I used to do services like feeding special children and washing and drying dishes and utensils. While over PT and OT sessions, I used to teach children. I enjoyed teaching the children. They were very accurate and composite.

I learned that happiness, self-satisfaction, helping nature, empathy, and moral values don’t need money. Money has no chance to buy all these. Humanity is essential for every human. Service to humans is service to God. This is unconditional service. I learned how to become a good-hearted human being.

It’s a good, delightful, and enjoyable learning experience. Everyone will enjoy doing the OJT here.” - KARUMOJU SANTHOSH

“It is a beautiful place with peaceful staff and children. The papas and mamas in 11th cottage are very kind and treat the children as their own kids.
I like physical therapy staff; they are very good in their work. They really worked hard to make children normal.”
