On June 27, 2020, the Mapanao Family launched “Vernissage,” a photography exhibition featuring the works of Bryan Rigg at their coffee shop, Viverra Coffee, in Geneva, Switzerland. All the proceeds of this showcase will benefit the Chosen Children Village Foundation, Inc. (CCV), an orphanage for disabled children in the Philippines. The opening was attended by members of the local community, including Ambassador Evan Garcia. Rigg is one of the members of the CCV Board of Trustees. His photographs feature the natural landscape of the Philippines as well as abstract subjects. One of his most popular prints is called “Water Lillies.” The photographs can also be printed as postcards, which buyers can give to their friends. Chosen Children Village is a haven for abandoned, neglected, and surrendered children with physical and mental disabilities. It has been badly affected by the eruption of the Taal Volcano (a mere 8 kilometers away from the village) last January 12th. And although it remains free of the COVI

Small Miracles

Here at Chosen Children Village, Small Miracles refers to a number of things. First and foremost, it refers to mental and physical developments, no matter how small, that we see in the children under our care.

It also refers to the blessings we receive, e.g., donations, new sponsors, volunteers, guests, OJTs, donors, and much more, on a day-to-day basis.

This is the reason why we chose to name our monthly newsletter Small Miracles—our way of appreciating the little things and giving thanks to the individuals and organizations who continue to support us.

CCV Annual Reports

We release an annual report in compliance with the rules of the Philippines’ Department of Social Work and Development and also to give our child sponsors and trust fund donors a general idea of where their money is being spent. In the spirit of transparency, the reports are available for viewing or downloading by the public.
