Where Recovery Begins
The Arantza Rehabilitation Center is an essential facility in the village. It provides services that are necessary for the children’s physical, cognitive, and social development with the help of physical and occupational therapists.
The objectives of the Arantza Rehabilitation Team are to improve function and provide continuity of care during the patient’s transition to adulthood. The ultimate goal is to maximize the quality of life of the children, teens, and young adults in the village.
Our physical therapy team uses approaches designed to specifically help children with brain and spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular disorders, and an array of musculoskeletal conditions. We also treat sports- and work-related injuries in children and young adults in the village.
Occupational therapy focuses on helping people with a physical, sensory, or cognitive disability be as independent as possible in all areas of their lives. It also addresses psychological, social, and environmental factors that can affect their daily functioning and self-esteem.
The aquatherapy treatment approach is designed to maintain or improve overall function such as balance, coordination, flexibility, gait, body mechanics, and postural stabilization in each patient.
Our TEAM
Meet the tireless men and women that make up our rehabilitation team.
A graduate of De La Salle University Health Sciences Institute, Rolly is a licensed physiotherapist and has worked previously for well-known clinics, hospitals, and international groups. Most notably, he has worked with the athletes of the Philippine Olympic Team and the performers of Fuerza Bruta and Cirque du Soleil. His experience and additional training in cerebral palsy treatment more than qualify him as head of the Arantza Rehabilitation Center.
Specializing in sports- and work-related injuries, Shaira has worked with sports personalities and athletes from the National Team. She obtained her physiotherapy degree from the University of Perpetual Help Medical University and has a certification in sports taping from Rock Tape Inc. She’s now helping the teens and young adults in the village and is keen to work on neuro-pediatrics with our toddlers.
Stef began helping patients with neurologic, musculoskeletal, and geriatric issues immediately after graduating from the University of Perpetual Help System (GMA) in 2018. She is focused on furthering her education, training, and experience in treating patients with neurodevelopmental conditions. Her inspiring dedication and compassionate nature make her a wonderful addition to the village’s rehabilitation team.
A risk-taker with a big heart, Mikee is the first-ever occupational therapist at the village. She graduated from the De La Salle Medical Health Sciences Institute and specializes in using integrative approaches to rehabilitating children with physical dysfunction and neurodevelopmental conditions. She uses new strategies and tools to help the children become independent and confident in performing their daily routines.
